On February 18, 2021, an open discussion will take place in Tallinn on the topic “The impact of media on life in modern society” where we would like to support the intergenerational dialogue organized by young and older people in partnership with invited experts, community leaders (of different ages) and representatives of local authorities and mass media.

At the end of the project, a study guide will be published on the topics of modern mass media tools, the use of social networks, valuable, practical advice and expert experience for the young and older generations to support the change in their media habits and interaction with the media.

Results:

Participants will be more critical of the content of the media, they will also gain additional skills and take part in the life of a democratic society and diversify their media habits.

The project is part of the Baltic Independent Media program, which is aimed at strengthening the role of local media publishers, its content, and helps to open new horizons. The project is supported by the UK government and the British Council and Tallinn Education Department.
